Lost at Sea
Sailing along this sea so deep,
My mind wanders to its mystic beat,
The thumping of the engine, the splashing of the waves,
A clamor at most, now a melody.
Cloaked in the darkness of the night,
Drifting along the dark blue sea,
Lost in this solitude, only the sea for company,
The stars above looking on in amusement at this odd symphony.
A man and his machine, set to conquer the seas,
Victory they seek over these Neptunian deeps,
Wind and wave and thunder and storm,
All they face without losing their form.
Seas they pass and oceans they cross,
Heading here and heading there, not a clue of when and where,
Across the horizon not a soul they can see,
Alas they are... Lost at sea...
